Gifted and Talented

Spot Light on....Cairo Mills

In this term’s Sporting ‘Gifted and Talented Showcase’, we celebrate Year 2 pupil, Cairo.

Cairo stated playing football from the age of 4. Playing a few friendly matches against children of his age group. At the age of 6, he started to play for Continental Star FC at grassroots level.

It didn’t long for Cairo’s outstanding talents to be recognised by elite football clubs. Since Cairo started playing at grassroots level, he has been scouted by West Bromwich Albion, Leicester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa.

Playing and training for these academies has given Cairo the opportunity to play against some of the West Midlands elite players for his age group which has lead him to working and training even harder.

Cairo’s possession of two school sporting values of Determination and Passion allows him to remain dedicated to train 4-5 days a week and play matches on Sundays.

Cairo will continue to train to the best of his ability and remain focus on working towards achieving his God given potential.

I’m sure you will all join me in saying well done to Cairo and wishing him the very best of luck as his elite football journey continues.

Well done, Cairo! We are all so proud of you!

Spot Light on....Jennifer Cox

This half term, as part of our Gifted and Talented Showcase, we celebrate Jennifer in Year 6.

During her spare time at home, Jennifer enjoys being creative and practising her sewing skills. Her most recent creation is this wonderful cuddly turtle. She has demonstrated brilliant sewing skills and creativity. What makes this project even more special is that Jennifer used old clothes and parts from her previous toys to make her turtle. Well done Jennifer!
