Mental Health and Wellbeing
At St John’s we place a strong emphasis on supporting every child’s mental health and wellbeing. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, happy, and valued, and we are committed to creating a nurturing environment where everyone can thrive.
Through our caring ethos, we help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and positive relationships. We provide opportunities for children to talk about their feelings, learn how to manage emotions, and understand the importance of looking after their mental health. This is woven throughout our curriculum, worship and daily school life.
Our staff work closely with families and, where needed, external professionals to ensure that every child receives the support they need. We encourage kindness, respect, and open communication, helping our children to feel listened to and supported at all times.
By prioritising wellbeing, we aim to equip our pupils with the skills and understanding they need not only for school, but for life.
